Encouragement For Job Search

Where To Find Encouragement For Your Job Search?

“The weapons we fight with
are not the weapons of the world.
On the contrary, they have divine power
to demolish strongholds.”
II Corinthians 10:4

JobSearchStrength-JobSearchingCoachIf you ever need encouragement in your job search, this verse provides it. If you ever need a reminder that God has given you strengths you may not even be aware of, look to this verse. If you ever need hope that God is working in you and on your behalf during your job search, this verse provides it.

Ephesians 3:20 says:

“God can accomplish more than you can ever ask or think.”

I don’t know about you, but I’ve got some pretty tall dreams, and God says they are pretty puny compared to what He can do. I have some pretty lofty goals, but God says those are kid’s play when compared to what He can do.

And the same is true for you. No matter how tall your dreams, lofty your goals, or ambitious your job search, God says He can do so much more.

The Power at Work in You…

PowerWithinYou-JobSearchingCoachAnd, here’s the truly amazing part—He will do it through the “power at work in you.” That word “power” is a wonderfully emphatic word. The original Greek term for “power” is dunamis and is the same root word from which we get dynamo, dynamic, dynamite, and others. In other words, you have a dynamo inside you that enables God to accomplish more through you than you ever dreamed.

How great is that? This is one of the hidden advantages a believer has over a non-believer in a job search.

Then, why, you might ask, don’t more believers draw on that inner power of God in their lives and their job search?  Simple answer: They don’t know about it, and they don’t know how to do it or to use it.

Knowing this power is resident within you is the first step…

BookChristianJobSearchManual-JobSearchingCoachYou then learn to draw on it by:

  • Learning to practice the presence of God, keep Him and His thoughts in the forefront of your mind all day.
  • Learning His thoughts by spending time in the Scriptures.
  • Learning to apply this to your job search by obtaining and working through Your Road to Damascus Christian Job Search Manual.

Are you in touch with this power in you? It’s there. You can tap into it.

Spirit of Power, I confess I operate more on my own power than yours.  Help me learn to recognize your guidance and draw on your power.
