The Christian Job Search Manual Can Help You Prepare For Your Job Search Decisions
“The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly.
For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind
than are the people of the light.”
All truth is God’s truth, no matter who says it or where it is found. At the same time, not everything declared to be true is true, no matter who says it. All declared truth must be exposed to white hot furnace of scripture that untruths may be burned away.
While Christian experts in any field have the holy scriptures and the Holy Spirit to guide them, because they are fallen human beings, they may still not necessarily have exposed the truth on a particular subject. Likewise, while non-Christian experts in any field do not have the spiritual resources to guide them, this does not necessarily mean that none of their declarations are true.
Consult those with wisdom…
Christ’s point in the verse is to consult people wise in the area of question, and several of them to compare responses, and then expose these responses to the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit to uncover the best counsel.
Even in your job search, career coaches, job search experts, outplacement consultants, and others will be able to respond to your questions and give you a great deal of insight to consider. The book, The Christian Job Search Manual: 6 Biblical Secrets for an Effective Job Search, will likewise answer many of your questions.
It’s not wise to try and make job search decisions completely on your own. Who are you consulting on a regular basis to seek wisdom? What experts are you tapping into to get another perspective? In the multitude of counsellors, there is wisdom, but it’s only as good if you listen and apply it to your own situation.
Are you seeking out the wise? Are you humbly listening, or is your mind already made up?
Dear Heavenly Counsellor, break through my stubborn resistance that I may hear your truth as You speak through others.
